There are so many things to do in Bahamas that you will never be short of an activity to keep you busy. The Bahamas itself is often visited for a relaxing holiday that makes use of the beautiful white beaches and turquoise sea. So if your thing is sitting down and reading a book on your sunbed, then this is the destination for you. However, if you like to be a bit more active on holiday, then the Bahamas is also an ideal destination.  On Long Island in particular, there are many examples of the fantastic things to do in Bahamas to keep you as busy as you want to be when visiting the wonderful Casa De Bahamas villa.

Salt Pond Beach

One of the best things to do in Bahamas is to visit Salt Pond Beach. It is an absolute must owing to its jaw dropping vistas along the white sand and clear blue sea. There is an area that is safe for swimming even with children, but also sometimes there are areas that are suitable for body surfing too. Those that like to see what wildlife is about, Salt Bond Beach is a great idea because it is possible to go fishing here as well as snorkeling and diving. For children, beach-combing looking for crabs is always a winning idea.

Best Places In Bahamas

Deadman’s Cay Caves

Deadman’s Cay Caves is another great destination when looking for things to do in Bahamas during a visit to Long Island. The salt caves are a sight to behold and fascinating to look at and walk through. Located near Salt Pond Beach, these caves are home to bats that can be seen, for those that are interested, between April and September when they use the caves for shelter.

Adderley’s Plantation Ruins

Those that need something a bit more historical during any vacation to Casa De Bahamas, should make a trip to these ruins when on the island. As far as things to do in Bahamas go, this is one of the most culturally interesting as the plantation was first built around 1790 and since then it has been through many different owners, all of which made their own mark on the place. It’s about 13 miles away from the villa.
